The Spinner Pelham has attachments for two reins, one near the mouthpiece and one at the end of the shank. These reins have similar action to the curb and bridoon reins in the double bridle.
The Pelham 55 has the shortest shank (55 mm) out of our range, this will soften poll pressure and leverage on the mouthpiece and curb.
The Spinner sits on top of the horses tongue and prevents the horse putting its tongue over the bit.
Additionally, the blue sweet iron mouthpiece oxidises in the horse’s mouth to create a warm, sweet taste. Encourages salivation and acceptance of the bit and is designed to make the horse more relaxed in his mouth. Also encourages the horse to go forward into the bridle, rather than ducking behind the bit.
